Moroccan Braised Beef Ribs
These Moroccan Braised Beef Ribs are slow cooked and marinated with a blend of aromatic spices, served with a side of couscous.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Couscous - 2 cups
- Carrots - 4, chopped
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 4 cups
- Ground turmeric - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 tablespoon
- Ground cumin - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Beef ribs - 4 large
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Season the beef ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and brown on all sides. Remove the ribs and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
- Add the cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and turmeric and cook for another minute.
- Return the ribs to the pot and add the beef broth, honey, and carrots. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and transfer to the oven. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the couscous according to the package instructions.
- Serve the beef ribs over the couscous.
