Moo Ping
Moo Ping is a popular Thai street food made with marinated pork skewers that are grilled to perfection. The pork is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Bamboo skewers - 8-10
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Pork shoulder - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- Soak the bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and cilantro.
- Add the sliced pork to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the pork onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the moo ping hot with extra cilantro and lime wedges, if desired.
