Moo Ping
Moo Ping is a popular Thai street food dish. These grilled pork skewers are marinated in a sweet and savory sauce and then grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Bamboo skewers - 8, soaked in water for 30 minutes
- Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander - 1 teaspoon, ground
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Pork shoulder - 1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground coriander, black pepper, and coconut milk to make the marinade.
- Add the pork pieces to the marinade, making sure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated pork pieces onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the Moo Ping hot with sticky rice or a side salad.
