Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, carrots, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Line a pie dish with one sheet of the pie crust. Spoon the meat mixture into the crust.
  5. Cover with the second sheet of pie crust. Trim and crimp the edges, then cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  6. Brush the top crust with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Let the pie stand for 5 minutes before serving.
