Meatball Sub
A hearty and delicious meatball sub sandwich, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Sub rolls - 4
- Marinara sauce - 2 cups
- Egg - 1
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the cooked meatballs to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Slice the sub rolls open and fill with the meatballs and sauce.
- Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the subs on a baking sheet and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
