Lu Rou Fan

Ingredients - Serves 4
- Rice - 4 cups, cooked
- Hard boiled eggs - 4
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Star anise - 2
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Rice wine - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Pork belly - 500 grams, cut into pieces
Let's Get Started
- Heat a pot over medium heat and add the pork belly. Cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the soy sauce, sugar, rice wine, garlic, star anise, and cinnamon stick to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Cover the pot and simmer for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
- Add the hard boiled eggs to the pot and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve the braised pork and eggs over the cooked rice.
