Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the pork belly and place it in a large pot with the water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer, skimming off any foam that forms.
  2. Add the garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the pot. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, or until the pork is very tender.
  3. Remove the pork from the pot and let it cool. Once cool, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Return the shredded pork to the pot and add the rice. Simmer for another 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
  5. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped green onions just before serving.
