- Rice - 2 cups, cooked
- Lettuce leaves - 8
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Kimchi - 1 cup
- Pork belly - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sugar. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Add the sliced pork belly to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Heat a grill or a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated pork belly slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Remove the pork belly from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice it into bite-sized pieces.
- Place a lettuce leaf on a plate. Add a spoonful of cooked rice, a few slices of pork belly, a spoonful of kimchi, and some sliced green onions.
- Wrap the ingredients in the lettuce leaf, folding it like a burrito.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Serve the Korean Kimchi and Pork Belly Wraps as a delicious and flavorful main course.
