Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the lotus leaves and glutinous rice in water overnight.
  2. In a pan, stir-fry the Chinese sausage, dried shrimp, and mushrooms until fragrant.
  3. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper to the pan and mix well.
  4. Drain the glutinous rice and add it to the pan, stirring until well mixed.
  5. Place a portion of the rice mixture in the center of each lotus leaf. Fold the leaf to completely enclose the rice.
  6. Steam the wrapped rice over high heat for 1 hour, or until the rice is cooked through.
  7. Allow the wrapped rice to cool slightly before unwrapping and serving.
