Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the mixed beans overnight in water. Drain and rinse the beans.
  2. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked beans and 4 cups of water. Cook for 15 minutes or until the beans are tender.
  3. In a separate pot, heat ghee over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  6. Add the cooked beans along with the water from the pressure cooker to the pot. Mix well and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy the flavorful Kwati soup!
