Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add urad dal.
  2. When the dal turns golden, add finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves.
  3. Saute until the onions turn transparent. Then, add this to the idli/dosa batter.
  4. Add salt to the batter and mix well.
  5. Heat the paniyaram pan and drizzle some oil in each mould.
  6. Pour the batter into each mould and cover the pan. Cook on medium heat.
  7. After a few minutes, flip each paniyaram using a spoon or skewer. Cook until it turns golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
