  1. Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Thread the chicken, shrimp, and vegetables onto skewers, alternating between ingredients.
  3. Season the skewers with salt.
  4. Dip each skewer into the flour, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Carefully place the skewers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove the skewers from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Serve the kushikatsu hot with tonkatsu sauce for dipping.
