Kuay Tiew
Kuay Tiew is a popular Thai street food dish. It's a comforting bowl of broth, rice noodles, and a variety of toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Protein of choice - 200 grams (chicken, pork, beef, tofu)
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Bean sprouts - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken stock - 4 cups
- Rice noodles - 200 grams
Let's Get Started
- Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 15 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken stock to a boil.
- Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and minced garlic to the pot and stir well.
- Add your protein of choice to the pot and cook until done.
- Add the rice noodles to the pot and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with bean sprouts, green onions, lime wedges, and chili flakes.
