Larb
Larb is a popular Lao minced meat salad with fresh herbs and spices. It's a perfect blend of sweet, tart and spicy flavors.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lettuce leaves - 8
- Red onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Fresh mint leaves - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Lime juice - 3 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ground chicken - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Cook the ground chicken in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
- In a bowl, combine the fish sauce, lime juice, chili flakes, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the cooked chicken to the bowl and mix well.
- Add the mint, cilantro, green onions, and red onion to the bowl and toss to combine.
- Serve the larb in lettuce leaves.
