Korean Egg Bread
Gyeran Bbang is a popular Korean street food. It's a warm, sweet, and savory bread with a whole egg inside.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup, shredded
- Eggs - 6
- Vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon
- Unsalted butter - 2 tablespoons, melted
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and one egg.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about halfway.
- Crack an egg into each cup, then sprinkle with shredded cheese and chopped parsley.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the eggs are set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin. Serve warm.
