Keema Samosa
Keema Samosa is a popular Indian snack with a savory filling of ground meat and peas wrapped in a crispy pastry shell.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Oil - For deep frying
- Samosa wrappers - 12
- Salt - To taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Green peas - 1 cup
- Ground meat (beef or lamb) - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a few minutes until the raw smell goes away.
- Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until it changes color.
- Add the peas, garam masala, turmeric, and salt. Cook until the meat is fully cooked and the peas are soft.
- Let the keema filling cool down. Meanwhile, fold the samosa wrappers into a cone shape.
- Fill the samosa wrappers with the keema filling and seal the edges with a little water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Once the oil is hot, add the samosas and fry until golden brown.
- Serve the Keema Samosas hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
