Keema is a traditional South Asian dish made from minced meat, usually mutton, beef or chicken, and a blend of spices. It's a versatile dish that can be served with rice, bread or as a filling for samosas or naan.

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and sauté for a few more minutes.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chillies to the pan and cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  4. Add the minced meat to the pan and cook until it changes color.
  5. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt to the pan and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the spices are well blended with the meat.
  6. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked and the flavors are well combined.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
