Kebab Koobideh
Kebab Koobideh is a traditional Persian dish made with ground beef or lamb, mixed with spices and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Skewers - 4
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sumac - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, grated
- Ground beef or lamb - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, black pepper, and sumac. Mix well to combine.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a long, cylindrical shape around a skewer.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Brush the kebabs with olive oil and place them on the grill.
- Grill for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are cooked through and nicely browned.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the Kebab Koobideh with rice, grilled vegetables, and a side of yogurt sauce.
