Kabab Bakhtiari
Kabab Bakhtiari is a delicious Persian dish made with grilled marinated chicken and beef.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Skewers - 8
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Bell peppers - 2, sliced
- Tomatoes - 2, sliced
- Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of hot water
- Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Beef tenderloin - 500g
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, paprika, turmeric, and saffron water.
- Cut the chicken breast and beef tenderloin into bite-sized pieces.
- Add the chicken and beef to the marinade and mix well to coat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated chicken, beef, tomatoes, bell peppers, and onion slices onto skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken and beef are cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the Kabab Bakhtiari hot with rice or bread, and enjoy!
