Kebab Barg
Kebab Barg is a delicious Persian dish made with marinated and grilled tenderloin beef.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Skewers - 4, soaked in water
- Bell peppers - 2, sliced
- Tomatoes - 2 medium, sliced
- Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Beef tenderloin - 1.5 pounds, cut into thin strips
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and saffron water. Mix well.
- Add the beef strips to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated beef strips onto the soaked skewers, alternating with tomato and bell pepper slices.
- Grill the kebabs for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve the Kebab Barg hot with rice, salad, and bread.
