Kara Dosa
Kara Dosa is a spicy and flavorful South Indian crepe made with a spicy chutney spread.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Oil - For cooking
- Salt - To taste
- Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Curry leaves - 10 leaves, chopped
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Green chili - 2, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1, finely chopped
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Dosa batter - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dosa batter, chopped onion, tomato, green chili, grated ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well.
- Heat a non-stick dosa tawa or skillet over medium heat. Grease it lightly with oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the dosa batter onto the tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
- Drizzle some oil around the edges of the dosa and cook until the bottom turns golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the dosa and cook the other side for a minute or until it is cooked through.
- Remove the dosa from the tawa and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
