Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Wash the mutton and marinate it with ginger-garlic paste, yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, lemon juice, and salt. Let it rest for at least 2 hours.
  2. Wash the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Then, cook the rice until it's 70% cooked. Drain the water and set the rice aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the onions until they are golden brown. Remove half of the onions and set them aside for garnishing.
  4. In the same pan, add the marinated mutton and cook it on high heat for 7-8 minutes.
  5. Layer the partially cooked rice over the mutton. Sprinkle the fried onions, mint leaves, coriander leaves, and saffron milk over the rice.
  6. Cover the pan with a tight lid and cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes.
  7. Let the Biryani rest for 5 minutes before mixing the layers. Serve hot.
