Jjolmyeon is a popular Korean dish made with chewy noodles, spicy sauce, and various toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt - To taste
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Gochujang (korean red pepper paste) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Hard-boiled eggs - 4, sliced
- Bean sprouts - 1 cup
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Jjolmyeon noodles - 300 grams
Let's Get Started
- Cook the jjolmyeon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, gochujang, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and salt to make the sauce.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, cucumber, carrot, bean sprouts, hard-boiled eggs, and green onions.
- Pour the sauce over the noodle mixture and toss until well coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and additional chopped green onions.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
