Sausage Sandwich
This delicious sausage sandwich is made with grilled sausages, caramelized onions, and melted cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Dijon mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Hoagie rolls - 2
- Provolone cheese - 4 slices
- Bell peppers - 1, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Italian sausages - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the sausages for about 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.
- Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise.
- Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each roll and mayonnaise on the other side.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
- Place a grilled sausage on top of the cheese.
- Top the sausages with the caramelized onions and bell peppers.
- Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the rolls.
