Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sake, and mirin.
  2. Add the salmon roe to the bowl and gently stir to coat the roe in the marinade. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the sushi rice according to the package instructions.
  4. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice on the nori, leaving a small margin at the top for sealing the roll.
  5. Spoon a line of marinated salmon roe across the rice.
  6. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, applying pressure evenly across the roll. Wet the top margin of the nori and seal the roll.
  7. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces using a sharp knife. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Serve the ikura with soy sauce and wasabi on the side.
