Ingredients - Serves 10
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Chinese five-spice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Peanut butter - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and Chinese five-spice powder.
- In a separate bowl, mix the water and cornstarch until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the sauce and whisk until well combined.
- Transfer the sauce to a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool before using.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
