Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Cut the pork belly into thick slices.
  2. Heat a pan and add the sugar. Cook until it caramelizes and turns brown.
  3. Add the pork belly to the pan and cook until it is browned on all sides.
  4. Add the soy sauce, rice wine, star anise, and cinnamon stick to the pan. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
  6. Steam the bao buns according to the package instructions.
  7. Fill each bun with a slice of pork, some pickled mustard greens, coriander, and ground peanuts.
  8. Serve hot.
