Grilled Paneer Tikka
Grilled paneer tikka is a popular Indian appetizer made with marinated paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Skewers - 4-6
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Cherry tomatoes - 8-10
- Onion - 1 medium, cut into cubes
- Bell peppers (capsicum) - 1 medium, cut into cubes
- Salt - To taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Paneer (indian cottage cheese) - 250 grams, cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Add paneer cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat the paneer evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread marinated paneer cubes, bell peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes onto skewers, alternating the ingredients.
- Brush the skewers with oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer and vegetables are lightly charred and cooked through.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
