Green Bean and Tofu Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry combines crisp green beans and tofu in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable broth - 1/2 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Firm tofu - 1 block, cubed
- Green beans - 1 pound, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, vegetable broth, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add green beans to the skillet and stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender.
- Push the green beans to one side of the skillet and add cubed tofu to the other side. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until tofu is lightly browned.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the green beans and tofu. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
