Glutinous Rice Balls in Syrup

- Osmanthus flowers - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 piece, sliced
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Glutinous rice flour - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour with water until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, then add the rice balls. Cook until they float to the top, about 3-5 minutes.
- In a separate pot, combine the brown sugar, ginger, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Add the cooked rice balls to the syrup and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Stir in the osmanthus flowers, then remove from heat.
- Serve the glutinous rice balls in the syrup, warm or chilled.
