Gluten Free Sandwich Bread
This gluten-free sandwich bread is soft, fluffy, and perfect for any kind of sandwich. It's easy to make and stays fresh for days.
Ingredients - Serves 12
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
- Eggs - 3, large
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Xanthan gum - 1 1/2 teaspoons
- Gluten-free all-purpose flour - 3 1/2 cups
- Active dry yeast - 1 packet
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Warm water - 1 1/2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes, or until the yeast is foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, xanthan gum, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and vinegar.
- Add the yeast mixture and the egg mixture to the flour mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Pour the dough into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
