Gamjajeon
Gamjajeon is a traditional Korean dish made from grated potatoes. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Soy sauce - For dipping
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion - 1/2, small
- Potatoes - 2 large
Let's Get Started
- Peel the potatoes and onion and grate them using a grater or a food processor.
- Place the grated potatoes and onion in a bowl, add the salt, and mix well.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Scoop a spoonful of the potato mixture into the pan and flatten it with the back of the spoon.
- Cook for about 5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 5 minutes.
- Repeat with the remaining potato mixture.
- Serve the pancakes hot with soy sauce for dipping.
