Let's Get Started

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Place the beef short ribs in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the short ribs from the marinade and brush off any excess marinade. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Grill the short ribs for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove the short ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the galbi with steamed rice and kimchi for a complete Korean BBQ experience.
