Galbi
Galbi, also known as Korean BBQ short ribs, is a popular Korean dish made with marinated beef short ribs grilled to perfection.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Soy sauce - 1/2 cup
- Beef short ribs - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Place the beef short ribs in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the short ribs from the marinade and brush off any excess marinade. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the short ribs for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the short ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the galbi with steamed rice and kimchi for a complete Korean BBQ experience.
