  1. Peel the daikon radish and cut into thick rounds.
  2. Place the daikon in a pot and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the daikon is tender.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sake, soy sauce, sugar, miso, and mirin to make the sauce.
  4. Once the daikon is tender, drain the water and return the daikon to the pot. Add the sauce and stir to coat the daikon.
  5. Simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce is thickened.
  6. Serve the daikon warm, garnished with chopped green onions.
