French Dip Burger
A juicy burger topped with melted cheese and caramelized onions, served with a side of rich au jus for dipping.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Beef broth - 2 cups
- Hamburger buns - 4
- Provolone cheese - 4 slices
- Onions - 2, thinly sliced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides and cooked to desired doneness.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Top each patty with a slice of provolone cheese and let melt.
- Place each patty on a hamburger bun and top with the caramelized onions.
- In a small saucepan, bring the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to a simmer.
- Serve each burger with a side of the au jus for dipping.
