Flammkuchen is a thin crust pizza-like dish, traditionally topped with crème fraîche, thinly sliced onions, and lardons. It's a specialty of the Alsace region in France and is also very popular in Germany.

  2. Roll out the pizza dough as thin as you can get it. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  3. Spread the crème fraîche evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Scatter the thinly sliced onions and diced lardons or bacon over the crème fraîche.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and slightly charred.
  7. Cut into squares and serve immediately.
