Farófias
Farófias, also known as Portuguese Floating Islands, are a traditional Portuguese dessert made from whipped egg whites, sugar, and milk.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Milk - 2 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup

- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked 'islands' to a serving dish.
- Stir the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and lemon zest into the remaining milk in the saucepan and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Pour the flavored milk over the 'islands' and refrigerate until chilled before serving.
