Torta Di Ricotta E Pere
A delicious Italian dessert that combines the creaminess of ricotta cheese with the sweetness of pears.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Salt - A pinch
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Flour - 150 grams
- Eggs - 3
- Sugar - 200 grams
- Pears - 3, peeled and diced
- Ricotta cheese - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the diced pears.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- Serve the cake at room temperature, dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
