Farmhouse Veggie Burger
A hearty and delicious veggie burger packed with fresh vegetables and served with a tangy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Mayonnaise and ketchup - For serving
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles - For serving
- Burger buns - 4
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Egg - 1
- Breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1/2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Carrot - 1, grated
- Black beans - 1 can, drained and rinsed
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Add the carrot, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the patties and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until browned and heated through.
- Serve the burgers on the buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
