Escargots
Escargots à la Bourguignonne is a classic French dish of snails cooked in garlic herb butter.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Baguette - 1, sliced
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- White wine - 1/4 cup
- Shallots - 2 tablespoons, minced
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup

Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Rinse the escargots under cold water and drain well.
- In a small bowl, mix together the butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, minced shallots, white wine, salt, and black pepper.
- Place an escargot into each shell and top with a small amount of the garlic herb butter mixture.
- Arrange the filled shells in a baking dish.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the butter is melted and bubbling.
- Serve the escargots hot with sliced baguette for dipping into the garlic herb butter.
