Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for 4 hours, then drain.
  2. Cook the rice in a rice cooker with 4 cups of water.
  3. While the rice is cooking, soak the red jujubes, lotus seeds, dried longan, candied winter melon, peanuts, walnuts, and sesame seeds in water for 30 minutes, then drain.
  4. Mix the soaked fruits and nuts with sugar.
  5. When the rice is cooked, spread half of it in a large bowl.
  6. Spread the fruit and nut mixture over the rice, then cover with the remaining rice.
  7. Steam the pudding over high heat for 1 hour.
  8. Let the pudding cool before cutting into pieces and serving.
