Edamame Gyoza
These delicious Japanese dumplings are filled with a flavorful mixture of edamame and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Gyoza wrappers - 24
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1, finely chopped
- Edamame - 1 cup, shelled and cooked
Let's Get Started
- In a food processor, combine the edamame, carrot, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped.
- Place a spoonful of the edamame mixture in the center of each gyoza wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and press to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the gyoza and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 3 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the gyoza until the water has evaporated and the gyoza are cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Serve the edamame gyoza with soy sauce for dipping.
