Dumpling
These homemade dumplings are filled with a flavorful mixture of ground pork and fresh herbs.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Dumpling wrappers - 1 package
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 4, finely chopped
- Ground pork - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and egg.
- Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the dumplings and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
- Add a splash of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the dumplings until the pork is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
