Dum Ka Murgh
Dum Ka Murgh is a slow-cooked chicken dish from the Indian subcontinent, noted for its rich and aromatic flavours.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chillies - 2, slit
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
- Onions - 2, finely chopped
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Chicken - 1 kg
Let's Get Started
- Clean the chicken and marinate with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, lemon juice and salt. Keep it aside for 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Fry until golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix well. Cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Cover the pan and cook on low heat for another 40 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
