Dububuchim
Dubu Buchim is a delicious Korean dish made with pan-fried tofu, served with a savory soy-based sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Firm tofu - 1 block (14 oz)
Let's Get Started
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut the tofu into rectangular slices.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds to make the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Place the tofu slices in the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked tofu slices and cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the tofu.
- Remove from heat and serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
