Dak Galbi
Dak Galbi is a popular Korean dish made with marinated chicken, vegetables, and spicy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Gochujang (korean red pepper paste) - 3 tablespoons
- Rice cakes - 1 cup
- Sweet potato - 1, peeled and thinly sliced
- Green onions - 1/2 cup, chopped
- Carrots - 1 cup, julienned
- Cabbage - 2 cups, thinly sliced
- Chicken thighs - 1.5 lbs, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Add the cabbage, carrots, green onions, sweet potato, and rice cakes to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 5 minutes.
- Continue cooking and stirring until the vegetables are tender and the rice cakes are soft.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
