Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Soak the urad dal and moong dal in water for 4-5 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind the dals to a smooth paste.
  3. Add ginger, green chillies, asafoetida, and salt to the paste and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan and drop spoonfuls of the dal mixture into the hot oil.
  5. Fry until golden brown and crisp. Drain on a paper towel.
  6. Soak the fried fritters in water for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Squeeze out the water from the fritters and arrange them on a serving plate.
  8. Whisk the yogurt with salt and cumin powder and pour it over the fritters.
  9. Drizzle tamarind chutney and mint chutney over the yogurt.
  10. Sprinkle red chilli powder, chat masala, and coriander leaves on top.
  11. Serve chilled.
