Cuban Sandwich
The Cuban sandwich, also known as a Cubano, is a delicious pressed sandwich made with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Yellow mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Dill pickles - 8 slices
- Swiss cheese - 4 slices
- Ham - 8 ounces, thinly sliced
- Roasted pork - 8 ounces, thinly sliced
- French bread - 1 loaf, cut into sandwich-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a panini press or a large skillet over medium heat.
- Slice the French bread pieces in half horizontally.
- Spread mustard on one side of each bread slice.
- Layer the roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles on one half of the bread.
- Close the sandwich with the other half of the bread.
- Spread butter on the outside of the sandwich.
- Place the sandwich in the panini press or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for a minute.
- Slice the sandwich in half diagonally and serve hot.
