Creamy Pork Chops
These creamy pork chops are smothered in a mushroom cream sauce for a hearty and satisfying meal.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Heavy cream - 1 cup
- Mushrooms - 1 cup, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Pork chops - 4, bone-in
Let's Get Started
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the garlic and mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms are soft and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
