  1. Place the chickpeas, beef shin, pork belly, chorizo, morcilla, and chicken in a large pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.
  3. Add the cabbage, potatoes, carrots, garlic, onion, and salt. Continue to simmer for another hour.
  4. In a separate pot, cook the noodles in boiling water until al dente.
  5. Serve the cocido in two parts: first the broth with the noodles, then the meat and vegetables.
